Hwy 17 West of Nairn Centre Closed (Update)

Espanola OPP continue their investigation into a serious two vehicle head on collision that occurred on Hwy 17 west of Nairn Centre involving five people, all from the Sudbury area.

4 people one being a 2 year old child, are listed in serious but stable condition. The 2 year old child has been flown to Ottawa Sick Kid’s hospital. The fifth person has been released from hospital.

The accident continues to be investigated with the assistance of Technical Traffic Collision Investigators. The highway was closed during the investigation and re-opened at 7:00 p.m.
