Lawlor sinks 3 for 3

North Bay mayoral candidates Mayor Vic Fedeli and former Mayor Stan Lawlor were just two of the hundreds of folks how took part in the Hoops 4 Hope promotion at Canadore College.

Second year students from Canadore College’s Radio Broadcasting Program spearheaded the event in order to raise funds and awareness of the disease during Breast Cancer Awareness month (October).

Participants what the opportunity to show off their basketball abilities by making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. Fedeli went 3 for 3 on Friday October 27th and former Mayor Lawlor and shot 3 for 3 as well on Monday October 30th.

In the end 5-hundred dollars was raised and donated to Barb Spencer, North Bay and District Unit manager of the Canadian Cancer Society.

Organisers wish to thank everyone who participated and congratulate Panther Radio Prize Pack winners Angele Desrochers and Denis Stokes, both students at Canadore.
