Dragons at École publique Héritage had a very busy Earth Day as students from pre-kindergarten to grade 6 participated in a 'Litterless' Lunch for a chance to win a mini water cooler.

In order to conserve energy, all the lights in the school were turned off at lunch time.

As well École publique Héritage launched its recycling program, recycling everything from paper, to plastics, from ink cartridges to old cell phones.

Some Dragons ended the day by appreciating the wonderful weather and participating in Caisse Populaire’s drawing contest: My role in saving the environment.

Students have already shown interest in preparing ‘Litter less’ Lunches on a regular basis and turning the lights off every afternoon at lunch time. Everyday until the end of the year, during morning announcements, students will present important facts about recycling and waste reduction.
