Free waterfront concerts and movie in the park this long weekend

Four days of long weekend of entertainment begin with North of Quiet on the Kiwanis Bandshell stage on Friday night, with a full Saturday of musical acts planned, a movie in the park on Sunday evening, and Johnny Mac and Friends wrapping up the weekend on the holiday Monday

Enjoy the summer breeze off Lake Nipissing and take in performances at the Kiwanis Bandshell from some of the area's finest musical acts.

With a family-friendly screening of a movie in the park on Sunday evening and a musical performance by local favourites on Monday evening, the entertainment will stretch from Friday evening to Civic Holiday Monday.

Admission is free. Parking is free. Bring your lawn chair.

Following a successful debut in 2022 and a second act in 2023, the Hot Summer Night Music Festival is returning to the Kiwanis Bandshell at North Bay's waterfront to put on a show filled with an eclectic slate of musical acts as part of the City of North Bay's Civic long weekend celebration.

The two-day event will kick off on Friday, Aug. 2 with North of Quiet taking the stage from 7–9 p.m. 

The lineup on Saturday, Aug. 3 will feature many talented local acts with The Rodents as the headliner.

  • 2 p.m.–3 p.m. Jude Zappala
  • 3:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m. Yer Blues
  • 5 p.m.–6 p.m. The Unknown
  • 7 p.m.–8  p.m. Broome Turners
  • 8:30 p.m.–10 p.m. The Rodents

On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., bring your blankets down to the Kiwanis Bandshell and enjoy Disney Pixar's Elemental with the whole family.

On Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Johnny Mac and Friends continue the Summer Concert Series, also at the Kiwanis Bandshell.
