Taos Jordan put home a quick shot from the right side beating Charlie Larocque upstairs as the Owen Sound Attack edged the North Bay Battalion 3-2 in the final pre-season contest for the Troops in the game which took place Sunday afternoon in Owen Sound.

The Battalion opened the scoring in the first when Finnish Import Natan Teshome put home his first of the pre-season at 16:44 with a helper going to Battalion 2024 1st round pick Ryder Carey.

However, the Attack responded late in the opening frame when Declan Waddick put home his second of the pre-season at 19:50 of the opening frame to even the score at 1-1.

It stayed that way until late in the second period when Lirim Amidovsky netted his second of the pre-season on beautiful three-way passing play with assists going to Andrew LeBlanc and Jacob Therrien as the Troops took a 2-1 lead into the locker room after 40 minutes of play.

The Attack responded with a pair of goals less than 3 minutes apart near the midway point of the third period.

Rafik Varosyan got the equalizer for Scott Wray's Attack at 7:19 of the third period, and then at 10:15 Jordan put home the game winning tally.

Charlie Larocque made 28 saves in the setback.

The North Bay Battalion finish the pre-season 2-2. They will open the season Friday night at home as they host Chase Levebvre the Peterborough Petes.
