The North Bay Symphony is looking for contributions to help create the world’s longest COVID Canon.
People from all over the world are invited to submit their own lyrics to the tune of “Row Your Boat.”
“While COVID-19 hasn't exactly put us all in the same boat, we are certainly all caught in the same storm,” said Symphony violinist Janet Zimbalatti, who developed this idea.
"It's a way to share, and maybe commiserate, individual COVID-19 experiences with others when we can’t connect face-to-face. Everyone is experiencing this time differently, so the lyrics could be uplifting, sad, angry, appreciative, or funny.
"We hope the final song will provide a musical snapshot of life during this difficult time.” Submissions will be accepted while the population remains in isolation.
