The North Bay & District Humane Society says an opening ceremony will take place this Saturday morning at 10.
Daryl Vaillancourt, Executive Director says it's the first, with others planned after this one is up and running properly.
Funding for the dog park was covered by a gift through an estate and volunteer labour but Vaillancourt would not disclose the total cost.
The park sits on city property located at Champlain Park Road at the end of Premier Road.
