OPP in Blind River are investigating after a dog owner faced threats because his pet peed on the property at an apartment complex he lived in this weekend.

It was shortly after 9:30 Friday morning when police got a complaint of threats against someone walking their dog.

Investigation determined a tenant was outside the apartment complex walking their dog when the Site Property Manager began to take pictures of where the dog urinated.

The Site Property Manager, waving his fist, followed the complainant aggressively to the parking lot area and threatened to physically harm the complainant.

As a result, Lionel Fleury, 53, from Blind River, is charged with:

  • Uttering threats-cause death or bodily harm
  • Assault

Fleury is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on March 2.
