The local Chamber of Commerce has announced its incoming board of directors.
"It is encouraging to note the level of interest shown by our membership in becoming a Director for the upcoming 2-year term," says a news release.
With over 650 members strong, the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce has been the voice of local business for over 125 years,
The term of the new board starts in March 2025 after the board and executive officers are approved by the membership at the annual general meeting.
The board members, in alphabetical order, including those serving their second year of a two-year term are listed below.

One of the issues facing the new board will be how to handle West Nipissing.
In October, the West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce closed its doors and ceased operations. However, the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce said it “is committed to ensuring that all members of West Nipissing Chamber receive the necessary support and resources.”

“We gladly welcome them to our Chamber to allow the business community in West Nipissing to continue to thrive and be part of this vital business network,” Chamber president Donna Backer said at the time..
