Clean, Green, Beautiful plans September community-wide cleanup

CGB bags aren’t counted in the household bag limit and can be placed at the curb for pick-up until November

Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay is planning its Fall Community-Wide Cleanup kick-off event on September 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Gardens.

"Grab your cleanup bags, meet our amazing sponsors, and find out how you can get involved in the community-wide cleanup day on Saturday, September 21," says a news release.

If you can’t make it to the September 5 event, you can still order your biodegradable CGB bags for delivery through their website at cleangreenbeautiful.com.

CGB bags aren’t counted in the household bag limit and can be placed at the curb for pick-up until November.

Throughout 2024, over 3,300 bags have been distributed as part of CGB’s ongoing efforts. Communities in Bloom National judges, Colleen Stockford and Christine Isaac, praised the city’s cleanliness during their July 29 visit, noting the exceptional community involvement in litter pickup efforts.

The September 21 Community-Wide Cleanup offers residents one last chance to come together and make an impact before the colder months arrive. The CGB team invites residents to select any area in North Bay that they feel passionate about cleaning up, whether it's a neglected park, a litter-strewn street, or a polluted shoreline.

Biodegradable bags can also be ordered for delivery through cleangreenbeautiful.com

“We are deeply grateful to the businesses and organizations that have sponsored our 2024 CGB bags, making this year’s community-wide cleanups possible,” said Hariett Madigan, CGB Chair. “It’s truly inspiring to see our community come together, united in service to our neighbors and environment.”
