City police solve several break-ins, arrest three locals

Police believe some of the property recovered is from break-ins or thefts occurring in the North Bay area but also a theft from the Temagami area

North Bay Police have arrested three local men in connection with a series of break and enters.

Their investigation led to a successful application for a search warrant.

The search warrant was executed Monday on a North Bay home in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue with help from the OPP.

Police seized:

  • a large number of tools consisting of both corded and cordless hand tools
  • three mattresses and a box spring
  • a canoe trailer with seven canoes

Police believe some of the property recovered is from break-ins or thefts occurring in the North Bay area but also a theft from the Temagami area.

This investigation is continuing as police determine the origin of the property.

Charged is Dylan Johnson, 32, of North Bay with:

  • Two counts of break and enter
  • Four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Breach of recognizance

Jeremiah McEdwards, 28, of North Bay.

  • Two counts of break and enter
  • Four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Breach of probation.

David Boucher, 52, of North Bay.

  • Four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime Ooer $5,000

Johnson and McEdwards remain in custody pending a bail hearing.

 

Boucher was released from custody and will go to court on March 3.
