Power was knocked out in areas of West Ferris after a car struck an electrical pole just before 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
North Bay Hydro reports about 1120 customers have been impacted by the outage.
At this point, Lakeshore Drive near the Comfort Inn, near the 500 block of the busy thoroughfare, has been closed as crews look to restore the power and remove the downed pole from the street.
No word on the cause of the accident or if anyone has been injured.
North Bay Hydro hopes to have all the power restored before 8 p.m.
