On the 15th of May at approximately 1:30 AM officers responded to an alarm at Hamelin’s Turf Equipment on Lookout Heights. The glass within the front door was smashed and two Mitsubishi Generators were stolen. One of the generators was a 1800 red in colour and the other was 4000 and also red in colour. The value of the loss was $3500.

A 1990s white passenger van with rust on the lower panels was seen leaving the area after the alarm sounded.


Overnight on the 13th of May thieves climbed over a fence to Gibb Property Management storage on Gibson Rd. and forced their way into the main office by kicking the front door. Once inside they stole a 17” computer monitor and printer.



Overnight on the 13th of May thieves forced the bottom glass door of Luc’s Multi Mart on Main St. N. in Callander and stole approximately 22 cartons of cigarettes. The thieves took a cardboard box to carry the cigarettes away.



On the 12th of May at 3:30 PM a man arrived home to find a blue Norco “Bush Pilot” bike in his driveway. As he entered his home he saw a man coming down the stairs. This man stated that he was there to check the furnace and appeared intend on doing it. The homeowner finally convinced the man to leave and after, noticed that his dark green back pack was stolen.

This suspect is described as male white, in his 20s med. build with short blonde hair under a yellow visor, he had an unknown tattoo on one of his calves and was wearing a yellow football jersey type of shirt as well as shorts.



On the 12th of May shortly before midnight 2 males attended an apartment in the 600 block of Wyld St. At this time they stated to the occupant that they wanted a dog that he was keeping. They forced their way into the home when they were denied access. They then stole a Pit Bull Terrier brown/black in colour that weighed approximately 70 lbs and is named “Asia”.

The men are described as:

1-male white 5’5 to 5’7, 140 lbs 20 to 25 years old

2-male white 5’9 to 5’10, 150 lbs. 20 to 25 years old.

They were both seen heading westbound on Second Av. W.
