North Bay Councillor Mac Bain has been named the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities’ Executive of the Year.
The award, which celebrates those with distinguished political careers who have shown dedication and exemplary efforts in the growth and prosperity of Northern Ontario, was accepted by Coun. Bain Thursday during a banquet in Sudbury.
“It is an honour to be recognized as the FONOM Executive of the Year,” said Coun. Bain.

More than 200 municipal delegates, including Bain and other North Bay representatives, are attending the annual conference in Sudbury, which began Wednesday as runs until Friday.
