The North Bay & District Humane Society is happy to announce that all 11 of the abandoned puppies they had in their care after being found in late August have been adopted out.
“We're happy to say that the puppies went up for adoption a couple of weeks ago and are all now in loving homes,” said Liam Cullin, Executive Director, North Bay & District Humane Society.

This story created a lot of buzz in the community as a local resident discovered the newborn puppies without their mother back on August 19.
The puppies are believed to be lab retriever or a lab shepherd mix. The Humane Society put hours and hours of work taking care of the pups before they were adopted out.
“We have 11 puppies and a nursing mom at the North Bay Humane Society right now and is definitely keeping the staff busy as they grow and get more independent so they are still nursing off mom but they are starting to eat solid food right now and growing like weeds,” said Janet Bredin, Shelter Manager back in late September.
The Solicitor General’s office started an investigation into who was responsible for abandoning the newborn puppies, believed to be only a day old at the time, but no update has been made since the discovery of the abandoned pups.
