The First Annual Kiwanis Scramble and Ramble Golf Event took place on Tuesday August 28th at Osprey Links Golf Course.

The inaugural event raised over $42,000.00. This money is part of the Kiwanis $750,000 pledge to the new North Bay Regional Health Centre project.

Title sponsor of the event was Plenary Health, along with Associate Title Sponsors PCL Construction, Johnson Controls and Deutsche Bank. Other sponsors included Casey’s Bar.Grill, Dundee Wealth Management, Molson’s, Moose-FM, Canadian Tire, Carte Blanche, Lafarge Canada and Results Media.

Tournament chair Greg Briggs was extremely pleased at the support and the turnout for the event. “This was our first annual event, and we look forward to next year’s Scramble and Ramble. We’ve spoken to all of our sponsors and they all plan to be back to make the event even bigger and better,” says Briggs. “This was a great opportunity for Plenary Health and it’s partners to begin integrating into our community and to show North Bay and area that they are here not only here to build our new hospital, they are here to be a part of our community and lifestyle as well.”
