LETTER: Long term care billboards misleading says reader

'What is not said is that once these facilities are built, the folks from Water’s Edge are moving there'

To the editor:

Good day, I don’t know if anyone has seen the large billboards around town with Mr. Fedeli’s grinning face pointing out the new Long Term Care facility being built on the site of the former St. Joseph’s hospital with the caption ‘building more long-term care spaces’.

What is not said is that once these facilities are built, the folks from Water’s Edge are moving there.

No doubt Water’s Edge will be torn down and condos put in its place. So my question is: how does this convert into more beds?

False advertising! No new spaces just different spaces!
