To the editor:
Regarding the letter about Landlords lowering rent.
I feel bad for those that can't afford rent but the landlords are facing high costs also.
When the tenant here destroyed the apartment there wasn't anything we could do to make her accountable. It cost close to 10 thousand to repair the apartment. Plus lost rent when she didn't pay for months before finally moving out.
The cost of water and sewers has gone up, the cost of insurance, and the cost of gas for snow removal and lawn mowing.
The government needs to step up not the landlords some of whom are just getting by.
