The homeless situation in North Bay has reached a crisis point

Editor's note: Ms. Carmichael writes in response to the BayToday story Anti-encampment bill promises to give Ontarians back their parks.

To the editor;

Destroying a homeless encampment is heartless for sure, now you're taking the only home they have.

Not once but twice you're taking their homes. For some it is due to affordability, they have made do the best they can WITHOUT HELP FROM GOVERNMENT, LANDLORDS.

Yes, some have made bad choices, but it doesn't make them bad people. The rent prices have to decrease.

What is the purpose of charging so much money? And most landlords don't fix problems when needed to be fixed.

Not all people are bad tenants. With the cost of food, someone has to give.

I think landlords could help with rental costs. Explains why there are so many homeless encampments in the world now.

LEAVE HOMELESS ENCAMPMENTS ALONE. PLZ DON'T TAKE THE ONLY HOME THEY HAVE LEFT.
