The current fiction horror 'Gifted' will be the final instalment of Second Saturday Stories. But don't worry, there is still more of the story to come as spring (hopefully) unfolds in the coming weeks.
Before I tell you more about what to expect from Harmon in his subterranean hunt, I wanted to take a moment to thank BayToday for hosting this column over the last 3 years. Giving me a platform to hone my craft and connect with an audience has been invaluable to my experience as an author, and as I transition into a new chapter (no pun intended) of my writing I want to acknowledge that I wouldn't be here today if not for the chance taken on me by Jeff Turl and the staff at BayToday.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming,
This week in Second Saturday Stories we join Harmon Bradley as he battles hallucinations as well as the elements. Trapped in the Black Chapel under the earth he has resolved to wait out the White Wolf that is the target of his hunt. His mind bends as he tries to comprehend the spectres of his past that are trying to worm their way into his head and dissolve his sanity.
When he finally catches a glimpse of his prey, the very elements themselves seem to turn against him, and he must overcome new horrors to get out alive. Will his hunt be successful, or will he have to save the last bullet for himself?
Gifted combines the themes of Man vs. Nature along with the Tangible Vs. the Divine. This wartime horror story combines a creature feature with a ghost story and mixes in a healthy dose of mysticism as well. Fans of The Thing, and Tales From the Crypt Keeper will love it.
Chapter five: Feral Emergence drops today at 3pm, but catch up on the rest of the story below, you'll be happy you did.
