BOMB THREAT On Nov. 29 before noon, the North Bay Police Service received a bomb threat via telephone. It was ascertained that this call emanated from the Trout Creek area.

On Nov. 29 before noon, the North Bay Police Service received a bomb threat via telephone.

It was ascertained that this call emanated from the Trout Creek area.

The Ontario Provincial Police were contacted and shortly thereafter attended that area and placed a man into custody. He was then transported to North Bay Police Headquarters.

Jonathon THOMPSON, 27, old of McCarthy Street, in Trout Creek, is charged with conveying a false message and breach of probation. He was brought to court to face those charges.

LUCK OF THE DRAW
The North Bay Police Service had recently received two calls of theft of donation boxes from two different restaurants on Nov. 28.

The female thief entered the premises and left, taking the charitable funds with her.

The investigating officer, Cst. Paul Brewer, took photos from the store’s security cameras and inquired from officers within the North Bay Police Service, with negative results.

Later on Nov. 29 while the same officer was investigating a separate complaint on McIntyre Street E he recognized the woman in his original investigation.

A 23-year-old woman of no fixed address is charged with two counts of theft under $5000.

She is to appear in court at a later date.

BREAK AND ENTER
Between Nov. 22-26 thieves entered a residence in the 1300 block of Gorman Street and stole Canadian and American cash as well as liquor.
