CHRISTMAS CAUTION
The North Bay Police Service wishes to advise the general public concerning the recent break and enters involving the thefts of Christmas gifts. The thief apparently selects certain gifts from what is available in the home.

The most recent one occurred on George Street Nov. 22 a few minutes before noon.

A woman and two young children were about to enter the home when they were surprised by a male within the residence.

He then fled the home by jumping out of a window. In the process he dropped a knife on the ground. This suspect had also abandoned a small wooden bat at the scene.

Entry had been gained by smashing a small basement window.

This man is described as being white, 18 years old, 5’10, slim build, short hair, pale complexion and was wearing a red toque, and dark clothing.

The North Bay Police Service would like to advise the public to be vigilant during this time of the year. If any suspicious activity or strange individual is seen lurking around homes, please call 911 to advise police.

ATTEMPTED ENTRY
During the past weekend (Nov.19-10) thieves tried to pry the rear door of ICS Courier on Progress Court. Although there was damage to the siding and door, entry was unsuccessful.
