SEXUAL ASSAULT On June 14 detective-constables Greg McClenaghan and Ray Yelle of the Investigative Section in the North Bay Police Service arrested a male for sexual assault.

On June 14 detective-constables Greg McClenaghan and Ray Yelle of the Investigative Section in the North Bay Police Service arrested a male for sexual assault.

A female complainant alleges that for the past several months a man known to her, physically assaulted her and forced her to have sex with him.

The arrest took place in a public area and was without incident.

James Craig PENASSE, 46, of Main Street W, is charged with two counts of assault, sexual assault and breach of probation. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

MAN ASSAULTS STORE OWNER
On June 14 during the late afternoon hours a man allegedly entered a mens clothing store on Main Street E, in North Bay. At this time it is further alleged that this man stole several items of clothing and when he was about to leave he assaulted the owner who was attempting to stop him.

The North Bay Police Service was called and constable Peter Brunette and Jason Long of the patrol section located a man shortly after, within a nearby apartment.

Wayne FARROW, 32, of no fixed address, is charged with robbery and was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

STUDENT ASSAULTS PRINCIPAL
On June 14 during the early afternoon hours a local secondary school principal was allegedly assaulted by a 16-year-old student. The principal had been speaking to the student within his office when he was attacked. Constables Peter Brunette and Jason Long, of the North Bay Police Service, attended and arrested the youth without incident. He was also found in possession of a number of small bags of marijuana on his person.

He is to attend court July 27 charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of assault.

STOLEN UTILITY TRAILER
Between June 10 and 12 thieves stole a 15-foot utility trailer from the 800 block of Worthington Street W. This utility trailer is owned by the Canadian National Railway and is described as follows:

15’, black in colour with dual axle and had a green tarp. It was loaded with thermite charges (used to weld pieces of rail. The Ont. licence plate is P16302.

BREAK AND ENTER
On June 14 to 15 between 10 PM and 1:45 AM thieves broke into an apartment in the first block of Lakeshore Drive. Once inside they stole several CDs and a wooden jewellery box containing three rings and two silver bracelets.
