UNRULY WITNESS On July 5 during the afternoon hours it is alleged that while testifying at a trial in North Bay, a female witness assaulted a man in the courtroom. The woman allegedly walked over to the man and spit on him.

On July 5 during the afternoon hours it is alleged that while testifying at a trial in North Bay, a female witness assaulted a man in the courtroom.

The woman allegedly walked over to the man and spit on him. She then returned to the stand and continued giving her evidence. Once she finished, she was arrested for assault.

PREVIOUS STABBING
On July 5 the North Bay Police Service reported that a stabbing occurred within the city on July 3. Further information on this alleged stabbing is now being released.

North Bay Police Service officers attended a residence at 70 Champlain Street and executed a warrant. They located a variety of stolen property and drugs.

The property consisted of 125 watches, televisions and clothing. The drug investigation continues and investigators expect further charges.

Gilles THIBEAULT, 37, of Champlain Street, is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Josee DAMOUR, 24, of Champlain Street, is charged with obstructing police in relation to the arrest of the male.

Both subjects remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

The stabbing victim is in serious but stable condition in hospital.

MAN WITH KNIFE
On July 5 during the afternoon hours it is alleged that a man entered a laundromat in the 100 block of Third Avenue W and voiced a threat to kill a police officer. He then allegedly threatened to kill a female customer with a large knife.

He then left the area and attended Burrows Country Store on Second Avenue W and assaulted a male employee and then made his way to the roof area. Police were called to the scene and when they arrived the male in question attacked them. He was subdued with a taser and arrested.

Clayton TENNISCO, 36, of Ferguson Street, is charged with uttering death threats, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and assaulting police. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

FIVE FOR BREAK AND ENTER
On July 5 constables Bruce Whitehead and Ken Rice of the North Bay Police Service arrested five people in relation to a break and enter into a residence in the 1100 block of Metcalfe Street.

While this break and enter took place during this same day, the owners arrived and surprised the thieves who quickly fled. Police were called.

A 12-year-old boy has been sent to youth referral for break and enter.

A 15-year-old girl has also been sent to youth referral for break and enter.

A 13-year-old boy was kept in custody and charged with break and enter and theft.

Paul THOMPSON, 18, of McIntyre Street E, is charged with break and enter and theft and two counts of breach of an undertaking. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

Crystal GRAINGE, 18, of McConnell Street, in Mattawa, is charged with break and enter and theft. She is to attend court Aug. 30.

ARRESTED FOR BREAK AND ENTER
On July 5 shortly before 5 AM a homeowner surprised a male person breaking into her residence through a window. The North Bay Police Service was called and later that evening Cst. Dave Wilson arrested a male in relation to this incident.

Robert EADY, 20, of McIntyre Street W, is charged with break and enter. He is to appear in court Aug. 30.

BREAK AND ENTERS
Overnight on July 2 thieves broke into an apartment in the 400 block of First Avenue E. Once inside they threw items around and broke a camera.

Between June 30 and July 6 thieves gained entry to a residence within the 1200 block of O’Brien Street. Once inside they stole 15 forty-ounce bottles of various liquor and frozen seafood. They also took several pieces of jewellery.
