ARSON On May 22 at approximately 5 PM the North Bay Fire Department attended Piche Salvage on Industrial Roadd. This was as a result of a fire that had been set to creosote timbers and the adjoining grassy area.

Investigators with the North Bay Police Service wish to speak to three suspects who had entered the property from a pathway to Laurier Woods.

The North Bay Fire Department extinguished the fire without further incident.

MISSING PERSON LOCATED IN NORTH BAY
This past weekend, a North Bay couple was watching a story on Global Television about a missing youth. The keen-eyed couple spotted this youth within the city and contacted the North Bay Police Service. Officers from the police service picked up the missing boy and the Toronto Police Service returned him to Toronto.

STOLEN HEADSTONE
Between May 9 and 20 thieves stole a headstone from the Forest Lawn Cemetery. The head stone had been that of a 16-year-old girl who had passed away several years ago. This headstone weighed at least 1000 lbs.

YOUTH PULLS KNIFE
On May 23 a 10-year-old boy was bicycling in the Sage Road playground area of the city. He was followed by two boys, approximately 13 to 14 years old. They blocked his path to leave and an exchange of words took place. One of these boys then allegedly took out a large pocketknife, opened it and threatened him with bodily harm. The 10-year-old left the area and the other boys did not follow.

The following description of the boys is as follows:

1-male white, 14, tall, wearing a green ball cap with the letter 'S' on it, a black t shirt with the American Chopper logo on the front and back in green lettering, blue jeans and riding a black Mongoose mountain bike.

2-male white, blonde hair with black streaks, and wearing a white hooded shirt with cut off sleeves with a skull and cross bones diagram on the back and riding a yellow bike.

BREAK AND ENTERS
Between May 16-21 thieves used a rock to smash a window at a cottage in the 1700 block of Northshore Road. Once inside, they stole three fishing rods, a tackle box and fruit drinks. However beer was left untouched.

Between May 15 and 30 thieves lifted a sliding door to a garage in the 4200 block of Widdifield Station Road and made off with over $6,000 worth of tools.

These include two Huskuvarna chain saws.

Overnight May 22 thieves forced their way into an apartment in the 200 block of Worthington Street W and removed a DVD player, and an X-Box game.

The owner recently recovered some of the property.
