SMASH AND GRAB On May 6 shortly before 1 AM thieves smashed a window at R and R Jewellers on Main Street W and stole merchandise. Two people were seen fleeing the scene. A few minutes after, Cst.

On May 6 shortly before 1 AM thieves smashed a window at R and R Jewellers on Main Street W and stole merchandise. Two people were seen fleeing the scene.

A few minutes after, Cst. Richard Hampel, Steve Taylor and Ross Lingley, of the North Bay Police Service, apprehended a woman near McIntyre Street and Fisher Street. Some property was recovered.

Lise GAUTHIER, 35, of Fisher St. is charged with break and enter and theft and is to appear in court on June 15.

The other suspect being sought is described as:

Male, average height and build, wearing a black/white striped sweater, jeans, and was last seen running in the opposite direction from the female arrested.

Several watches were stolen as well as small clocks.



BREAK AND ENTER
During daylight hours thieves forced their way into an apartment in the 400 block of Algonquin Avenue and stole an amount of cash from the residence.
