LAST DOG RECOVERED
The last French bulldog previously reported stolen overnight June 6 has been returned to its owner. This dog and another were taken from a kennel on Four Mile Lake Road, and the investigating officers, detective-constables Bill McMullen and Ray Yelle, of the North Bay Police Service recovered the dog in Powassan. These dogs had a total value of $15,000.

POLICE SEEK MOTORIST
On June 16 at 12:30 AM a collision took place on Cassells Street near Second Avenue W. Both parties settled between themselves and left the scene. Later, one of the drivers reported to police that in fact the damage is $2,000. The law requires that any damage over $1,000 be reported to police.

Consequently, the investigating officer Cst. Larry Asselin of the North Bay Police Service, now has to complete the collision report and needs the other driver’s information. This male driver was driving a blue pick up truck with a white tailgate.

He is requested to call Cst. Asselin at 497-5555.

BREAK AND ENTER
On June 15 between 10:30 AM to noon, thieves entered a basement apartment in the 200 block of Leonard Street. Once inside they stole two pitchers full of loonies and toonies. The thieves had entered a bedroom and did not enter other areas of the apartment due to a large dog being on the premises.

Anyone with information on this crime or any other is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 476-8477.
