On June 1 during the late afternoon hours constables Helene Boissonneault and Bill Gainforth of the North Bay Police Service attended a home within the city regarding an out-of-control 16-year-old girl.

It was alleged that the girl threatened an adult female within the residence and then commenced to thrash the home. She allegedly broke dishes, put several holes in the wall and threw household items around.

She was arrested by the officers and charged with mischief, assault, breach of probation and threatening. She was also held for a bail hearing.

MOTOR VEHICLE RECOVERED
On May 31 a citizen contacted police in regards to an abandoned motor vehicle on Hwy 11 N. When the investigating officer checked the vehicle, it was found to be stolen from Timmins. The vehicle, a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina, was towed to police headquarters and further investigation showed that the Toronto Police Service had two males in custody for this offence.

STOLEN CHEQUE INVESTIGATION
On March 21 it is alleged that a cheque was stolen from a social service recipient. Some time later Det. Cst. Al Kraft of the Fraud Section for the North Bay Police Service commenced his investigation. This culminated June 1 when the officer arrested two people in relation to this offence.

Joseph Richard HOULE, 27, of no fixed address is charged with fraud, uttering a forged document and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing.

A female young offender was also charged with fraud, theft and uttering a forged document. She is to appear in court July 13.
