FALSE ALLEGATIONS On July 20 Det. Cst. Barry Ramsay of the Investigative Section in the North Bay Police Service arrested a female in relation to false allegations.
FALSE ALLEGATIONS
On July 20 Det. Cst. Barry Ramsay of the Investigative Section in the North Bay Police Service arrested a female in relation to false allegations. These allegations consisted of complaints of sexual assault by a male over the past sixmonths. These allegations proved to be false.

Tanya CRAMER, 20, of Marshall Ave. E is charged with public mischief and is to appear in court Aug. 23.

THEFT OVER
Between Feb. and May of this year it is alleged that an employee of Mac’s Milk Store on Cassells St. took over $6,800 in cash.

Det. Cst. James Warren of the Investigative Section of the North Bay Police Service arrested a female in relation to these incidents on July 20.

Nancy BAILEY, 31, of Highway 11 North, is charged with theft over $5000. She is to appear in court Aug. 30.

YOUTH WITH GUN
On July 20 it is alleged that a 17-year-old male exposed himself to a woman, began to masturbate and then got into a fight with the woman’s boyfriend, who was at the scene.

This 17-year-old then went into a residence and allegedly returned with a handgun and threatened the boyfriend and another woman. Constables Dave Wilson and Jason Long of the North Bay Police Service were called and arrested a 17-year-old male in relation to these incidents.

He is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, assault (for allegedly spitting on the boyfriend), committing an indecent act and two counts of threatening. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

ROBBERY
On May 21 shortly before 1 AM, Cst. Richard Hampel and other officers of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend the intersection of Second Avenue and Cassells Street. The officers attended and saw a male who had been injured and was then transported to the hospital by the North Bay Ambulance.

It is alleged that an attack took place near the intersection of Second Avenue and John Sreet.

Further, it's alleged that this attack involved four males who assaulted the victim with a baseball bat and stabbed him. They then stole his back pack containing a Sony Discman and various papers.

The victim suffered scrapes and bumps to his head and knees. He also had a deep stab wound to his back.

The suspects are described as four Native males, all about 18.

ASSAULT
On July 20 during the evening hours Cst. Ross Lingley of the North Bay Police Service attended a residence within the city. This call was in relation to an eviction. When the officer arrived there was a complaint of an alleged assault against a woman by a man. It is further alleged that the woman received injuries to her ribs by being kicked in that area. She was brought to the hospital.

Russell ROY, 51, of Lakeshore Drive, is charged with assault. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

STOLEN VEHICLES
Overnight on July 19 thieves stole a vehicle from a driveway in the 600 block of Memorial Drive. This vehicle is described as a 1996 Chev pick up, red in colour with a bronze stripe down the side, bronze lightning on the door, bronze “Chev” letters on the tailgate with 4X4 also written in bronze. The plates were Ontario # 848 8CV.

Overnight on July 20 a 1995 Ford Windstar was stolen from the corner of Clarence and Jane streets. This vehicle is further described as green in colour with a grey deflector on the front. The Ontario licence number is ABPV 294.

BREAK AND ENTERS
Overnight on July 19 thieves forced their way into For Your Convenience store on Seymour Avenue. At this time they incapacitated the alarm and surveillance systems. They then proceeded to steal all of the store’s cigarettes, lottery tickets, cold meats, pop and various other merchandise as well as the safe. The store was then ransacked. The total value is over $30,000.

Also overnight July 19 thieves broke into the Smoke N Lotto on Sherriff Avenue. At this time the alarm was disabled and the thieves stole cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets. The safe was stolen and the ATM machine was broken into. It is further believed that the vehicle used in the getaway was a green mini van, possibly the one stolen overnight from Clarence and Jane Streets.

The loss is estimated at approximately $50,000.
