INVESTIGATIONS COMPLETE
Detective-constables Ray Yelle, Chris Johnson and Aaron Northrup of the Investigative Section at the North Bay Police Service have completed their investigation into two alleged robbery and stabbing incidents.

These incidents were reported to police as the following:

On July 20 a man had his packsack stolen and was stabbed at the Lake Nipissing waterfront. (previously reported as a stabbing at Second Avenue and John Street.)

On July 23 a man was stabbed in the tunnel walkway between Third Avenue and Second Avenue.

Three people were charged with various offences in relation to the two above incidents.

A 16-year-old North Bay male was arrested July 26 and charged with attempted assault. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

On July 30 a 17-year-old North Bay male was arrested for robbery and breach of probation. He was remanded into custody awaiting a bail hearing.

On Aug. 3 Denny Andrew WAPACHEE, 19, of McNamara Street, was arrested by the Anishnabek Police in Moosonee and transferred back to North Bay. He is charged with aggravated assault and robbery. He also remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

THEFT OF VEHICLE
On Aug. 4 between the hours of 1:30 AM and 3:10 AM thieves stole a 2000 White Dodge Caravan from the parking lot at Buns Master on Clarence Street. The Ontario licence plate number was AJAR 907. Further information is that the windows were tinted.

SKATEBOARD ROBBERY
On Aug. 3 at approximately 1 PM a 17-year-old male youth was skateboarding in the parking lot of the Beer Store on Main Street W. At this time he was allegedly approached by two male youths who threw him to the ground and proceeded to kick and punch him. These youths then stole the victim’s skateboard and left the area. Det. Cst. Greg McClenaghan of the Investigative Section of the North Bay Police Service is investigating this incident.
