Three arrested, charged with attempted murder in shooting

Three people are under arrest after a person was rushed to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting incident in Charlton, just west of Englehart yesterday.

On Monday, September 23 at 4:55 a.m., Temiskaming OPP were called to a shooting incident at a home on Agnes Street in Charlton.

Three people have been arrested and charged with attempted murder. The names have not been released by police.

Police believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to public safety. Neighbours can expect to see an increased presence of OPP officers and vehicles in the area as the investigation continues. 

The investigation is being conducted by the Temiskaming OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
