Kirkland Lake OPP are investigating a serious collision on Highway 11, north of Highway 112.
Friday at 7 a.m., OPP, Timiskaming District Emergency Medical Services, and Kirkland Lake Fire Department responded to a collision involving five vehicles on Highway 11 North of Highway 112.
A 53-year-old from Montreal was pronounced deceased at the local hospital. A postmortem examination is scheduled to take place at a later time.
Highway 11 was fully closed for approximately 33 hours. Further details will be released as they become available say police.
Additional assisting services at the scene include the Round Lake Fire Department and the Kenogami Fire Department. The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of OPP's Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team.
