North Bay police say a stolen pickup truck helped in the theft of $10,000 worth of property from a business on Birchs Road in the city's south end last week. Now they are looking for your help in identifying the truck.
At 4:30 a.m. on February 13, the suspect car – a black Ford Taurus – was seen for an extended period near a business in the 200 block of Birchs Road. Shortly after it left the area, a pick-up truck, which was later identified as stolen, arrived and stole a trailer loaded with multiple pieces of property.
The estimated value of the trailer and contents is more than $10,000. The pick-up truck, trailer and contents were later recovered by the OPP.
The pick-up truck involved is believed to have been stolen around 4 a.m. on February 13 from a business in the 1300 block of Hammond Street between McGaughey Avenue and York Street.
Police have reason to believe the operator of the black Ford Taurus was involved in the theft and are seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspect.
Anyone with information that can lead to the identification or location of the suspect in this incident, including security camera footage or dash camera footage from the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555.
