Break, Enter & Theft On Sept. 23 shortly after 8 am police responded to a break and enter at 392 Airport Road. It was alleged that a male person had forced his way into the residence causing minor damage and had removed property.

On Sept. 23 shortly after 8 am police responded to a break and enter at 392 Airport Road. It was alleged that a male person had forced his way into the residence causing minor damage and had removed property.

Within a short period of time 18-year-old Brent McGuinty was arrested and was charged with break, enter and theft and mischief under $5000. McGivney was held pending a bail hearing.

Assault
Dale Rivers, 42, of Rowe Avenue, will appear in court on Sept. 26 after he was involved in an altercation with a female victim.

During the course of the altercation it is alleged that Rivers became physical to the point where the victim was assaulted by the use of a chair.

It was also learned that Rivers had acquired credit cards in the victim’s name. Rivers is charged with assault, assault with a weapon, mischief, two counts of threatening, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation.

Theft
In the early morning hours of Sept. 24 a 15-foot Waterquest camouflage canoe was stolen from the roof of a parked car that had been parked in the Travel Lodge parking lot over night.

The canoe is valued at $1200 -$1300. Anyone with information concerning this theft is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Theft
On the morning of Sept. 25 police responded to theft of four expensive bicycles from a shed on Gertrude Street. Taken from the shed were the following: a Kona - trick bike, model – “Stuff” – sandy yellow in colour, a Norco, trick bike, model – Sasquatatch – grey in colour, a specialized, trick bike – model –“PT” –dark grey in colour, a Kona –trick bike- model –Cyndercone –blue/grey in colour.

The value of the theft is in excess of $5000. Anyone with information on this theft is requested to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
