On Nov. 13 shortly after 5:30 PM Cst. Jeff Warner of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend a robbery complaint.

It is alleged that while a 26-year-old male was bicycling on First Avenue W between Fraser Street and Cassels Street, that he was knocked down by another male. This other male then demanded money and received it. He then escaped with the victim’s bicycle.

The bike is described as a solid black Norco 10-speed mountain bike with Norco written in white along the cross bar. It was missing a front brake pad and a missing button from the end of the handle bar. A wire is still visible where the button was removed.

The thief is described as: male white, 30, with medium long brown hair. He was unshaven and was wearing a two-tone grey and blue poncho style top with a single pocket in the front. He also wore a faded black jeans and possibly white running shoes.

One of the thieves defecated on the floor of the premises. During this same time period, the thieves stole a 1993 Plymouth Voyager van that a customer had left in the rear parking lot. This vehicle was later recovered in a parking lot behind the 400 block of Fisher Street.

On Nov. 13 shortly before 9:30 PM a vehicle was waiting to exit McKeown Avenue from the McDonald’s lot when it was struck in the rear by a red coloured mini van. FAIL TO REMAIN INJURY
On Nov. 13 while a male pedestrian was walking on Lee Avenue in the West Ferris area of the city, he was struck by a pick-up truck that immediately left the area.

This truck had pulled into a driveway across from the rear of Pizza Hut and then quickly reversed onto the street pushing the victim into the ditch. The truck’s rear tires ended up in the ditch with the rear bumper resting on the victim’s foot. The truck then spun its tires and then left the area at a normal speed. It is possible that the driver failed to see the pedestrian.

This vehicle is described as red or orange in colour, was an extended cab with no cap. There was a solid window in the rear of the cab with coiled rope/wire in the box. There were three occupants in the vehicle. Cst. Tanya Whitford continues with her investigation.
