OWNER ASSAULTED IN ATTEMPTED B&E On May 16 during the early morning hours a man who had just attempted to break into a residence on Duke Street E., was confronted by the owner. This man then struck the owner in order for him to escape. Cst.

On May 16 during the early morning hours a man who had just attempted to break into a residence on Duke Street E., was confronted by the owner.

This man then struck the owner in order for him to escape. Cst. Joe Whitehead and Dave Wilson of the North Bay Police Service attended and located a man two blocks away. He was arrested without incident.

Alexander JOHNSON, 28, of Gould Street, is charged with assault and break and enter. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.



13-YEAR-OLD OUT OF CONTROL
On May 15 during the afternoon hours Cst. Larry Asselin of the North Bay Police Service attended a residence on Lakeshore Drive regardling an out of control youth.

The 13-year-old had attacked his mother and broken down the door to her room.

The youth was charged with assault and mischief. He was held for a bail hearing.

DOGS PROTECT HOME
On May 14 during the afternoon hours a male youth attempted to break into a home in the 100 block of Massey Drive when he was frightened off by dogs.

He was arrested a short distance away by Cst. Aaron Northrup and Ken Rice of the North Bay Police Service. The 16-year-old is scheduled to appear in court on June 30 on charges of attempting to break and enter and breach of probation.

MAN ARRESTED FOR BREAK AND ENTER
On May 16 during the evening hours Cst. Henri O’Neill, Joe Whitehead and Dave Wilson of the North Bay Police Service attended a residence on Main Street E and arrested a man in relation to two break and enters that had occurred on the April 22 and 23 into the same apartment. CDs had been stolen both times.

Leonard LYNK, 23, of Main Street E is charged with two counts of break and enter and theft. He is to appear in court June 29.

ANOTHER BREAK AND ENTER ARREST


On May 16 Cst. Paul Brewer of the North Bay Police Service attended a residence on O’Brien Street and arrested a man in relation to a break and enter that had occurred that same day at an apartment in the 1300 block of Regina Street.

Cory VANKEUREN, 23, of O’Brien Street, is charged with break and enter and theft, and breach of recognizance. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

MAN EXPOSES HIMSELF
On May 13 at 7:30 PM two 13-year-old girls were at Memorial Beach when they were approached by a male who was fondling himself. When the girls got home the North Bay Police Service was called. He is described as male white, 34-35 years old, average height, slim build, brown shaggy hair with mushroom style cut, clean shaven and wore a grey t-shirt with unknown writing on it, blue and black underwear and beige or brown pants.

BREAK AND ENTERS
Between May 7 and 15, while the owners were away, a residence in the 1100 block of Glenwood Avenue was forcibly entered with a pry bar. Once inside the thieves ransacked bedrooms as well as other rooms.

They stole a substantial amount of liquor in larger bottles, a black guitar, $2000 in coins, a laptop notebook, jewellery, numerous DVDs and CDs, a 20” Sanyo TV, a Tipman 98 Custom paint ball gun as well as numerous electronic and computer games.

From 1 AM to 2:30 AM on May 16 thieves forced their way into a residence in the 700 block of Cedar Street.

Although there was damage to the front door there did not appear to be anything stolen.

On May 16 between 10:15 AM and 4 PM thieves entered a residence in the 300 block of Lansdowne Avenue and stole medication and rings. Entry was gained through an unlocked dining room window.
