STOLEN AUTO On June 23 during the afternoon hours a 15-year-old girl attended a business location with a spare set of keys to a vehicle. She took the vehicle and ended up in a fail-to-remain collision.

On June 23 during the afternoon hours a 15-year-old girl attended a business location with a spare set of keys to a vehicle.

She took the vehicle and ended up in a fail-to-remain collision. She then returned the vehicle back to its original location and left the area.

The owner upon completion of her shift saw that her vehicle had been damaged and called police.

The next day Cst. Jason Long of the North Bay Police Service arrested the girl and charged her with theft Over $5000. She is to attend court July 27.

16-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED FOR B&E
On June 25 during the morning Cst. Scott McFarlane of the NOrth Bay Police Service arrested a 16-year-old male in relation to a break and enter that occurred into a North Bay apartment June 10.

He is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 17.

STOLEN TRACTOR TRAILERS
Overnight June 26 someone broke into a 2002 International transport tractor from Laidlaw Transport on Hwy 11 North.

The thief then took the tractor to Mack North a short distance away and hooked up a double trailer loaded with 2x4s. The vehicle was then driven down Thibault Hill and abandoned at the bottom in front of several businesses.

Later that same day an employee of the company noticed the vehicle abandoned and called the driver who advised him that the vehicle had been left locked on the company lot. It appears that the vehicle did not have any air suspension hook up and the jack legs had not been raised. This caused dragging marks on the pavement.

The entire value of $200,000. was returned to Laidlaw Transport.

Later that same day Peterbuilt Transport on Highway 11 North reported that a 2002 Peterbuilt tractor was stolen. This unit was left abandoned north of Orillia and has been recovered by the OPP.

A further check by Laidlaw Transport showed that they are missing a 1999 Loadking trailer with Ont. plate V43438. This trailer was loaded with 2x4s and 2x6s and is still missing.

STOLEN VEHICLE
On June 26 between 7:30 AM and 8 AM thieves stole a 1999 Subaru Legacy station wagon from the parking lot of The Country Girl Restaurant on Parkwood Park Drive. The vehicle is further described as silver with Ont. licence plate #061 ZHF.

The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys left within.

Two suspects were seen hitchhiking in the area just prior to the theft.

They are described as male white, 30 to 40 years old, small builds and unkempt in their appearance.

BREAK AND ENTERS
On June 27 shortly after 2 AM a woman was awakened to the sound of someone kicking at her back door in the 200 block of First Avenue E.

She immediately called 911 and also saw two males running from the scene.

One of the males is described as white, 5’8 to 5’10 and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Both males ran towards Wyld Street.

Between June 20 and 25 thieves forced their way into an apartment via a rear bathroom window in the 700 block of High Street

Once inside, they stole a Sony video camera, along with a battery charger and a black/blue case. They also stole a Sears DVD player, a Polaroid camera with flash attachment and some cash.

On June 21, thieves stole approximately $2,000 in old coins and paper currency from a home in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue W. It is unknown how the thieves broke in.

Between June 21 and 23 thieves made their way into a home in the 100 block of Massey Drive. It is believed that entry was gained by using a key that had been left in the mailbox. Once inside, the thieves stole a black Panasonic portable CD player, a red I-river MP3 player and a silver digital camera with a black Kenwood 6 CD disk changer.
