WOMAN SHOT WITH PAINTBALL On June 19 at approximately 10 PM a woman was walking on Marshall Park Drive when she was suddenly struck in the chest by a paint ball. This caused a welt and some bleeding.

On June 19 at approximately 10 PM a woman was walking on Marshall Park Drive when she was suddenly struck in the chest by a paint ball. This caused a welt and some bleeding.

The projectile was fired by an individual in a passing vehicle, described as a white short box pickup believed to be a Chevy product.

MAN ARRESTED FOR MOVING MARKER
On June 19 a man in North Bay who had been previously warned several times to not move a boundary marker, did so.

The marker was encased in cement and separated his property from that of his neighbour’s.

Cst. Jody deHaas of the North Bay Police Service was called and arrested the man.

He is charged with interfering with a boundary. He is to appear in court Aug. 16.

FIGHT AT COVE
On June 18 shortly before 8 PM Cst. Steve Taylor of the North Bay Police Service was called to the Cove on Trout Lake regarding an assault.

While investigating this assault, one of the individuals began to swear at the officer and threatened to kill him.

Later at police headquarters the man in question spit at this same officer a couple of times. He also provided a false name.

Michael Roy BELEC, 21, of Franklin Street, is charged with assaulting a police officer, threatening, obstructing police and causing a disturbance. He was remanded to the district jail awaiting a bail hearing.

STOLEN TRACTOR TRAILER
On June 18 at approximately 8 PM an employee noticed a tractor transport being driven out of the lot at Parent Door Systems, on Venture Crescent. He did not think anything of it until later it was found that in fact it was being stolen at that time.

It contained $47,000 worth of windows and doors.

The tractor is described as a 2001 white Freightliner with Ontario licence plate 298 6HT, and the trailer is a 1988 white Fruehauf make with Ontario licence # R63268.

BREAK AND ENTER
Overnight on June 17 thieves entered Gino’s Pizza on Main Street E and stole a stereo receiver. Entry was gained by forcing a rear door.
