FOUND CARRYING KNIFE On July 23 shortly before midnight, Cst. Ken Ayres of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend the area of Portage Crescent regarding damage being caused to vehicles and signs by several males.

On July 23 shortly before midnight, Cst. Ken Ayres of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend the area of Portage Crescent regarding damage being caused to vehicles and signs by several males.

The officer searched the area and located a male in relation to the above incident, a short distance away. When searched, the male was found to be in possession of a concealed knife.

During the same time, one of the youths allegedly causing damage to vehicles and threatening a citizen when confronted, was arrested by Det.- Cst. Northrup. When this arrest was taking place, the officer was assaulted and the suspect fled. He was quickly re-captured nearby, after a brief foot chase.

One of the males involved in this incident, Ken William VILLENEUVE, 18, of Lighthouse Road, in Callander, is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, mischief and breach of probation. He is to appear in court Sept. 6.

The second youth, William Brett McDONALD, 20, of Gravelle Road, in Powassan, is charged with assault, assault while resisting arrest, mischief, trespass by night and uttering threats. He is to appear in court on Sept. 6

POLICE SEEK ASSISTANCE
Det. Cst. Jim Warren of the Investigation Section of the North Bay Police Service is presently investigating a stabbing incident that occurred July 23 at approximately 2 AM. This allegedly occurred in the walkway tunnel under the railway tracks between Third Avenue and Second Avenue in North Bay.

The male victim was allegedly attacked by two males, who are described as the following:

1-male white, approximately 6’ tall, thin build, medium length brown hair and wearing baggie Hip Hop clothing (a baseball type jersey with white and blue and some yellow colouring, baggie jeans with a carpenter loop on the leg, a white ball cap with possibly the number “40” on the peak of the cap.

2-male native, approximately 5’8 to 5’10, muscular build, and black brush cut style hair and a very tanned complexion. He wore a blue baggie chino style pants, possibly khaki in colour.

STOLEN VEHICLE
On June 6, a vehicle was rented from Hertz Canada at the North Bay Airport. This vehicle was allegedly returned to a parking lot at the airport June 30. However the vehicle and keys were never located. This vehicle is now listed as stolen.

It is described as a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire, 4 door grey, with Ont. plates AWBY 726.
