MAN ATTACKS OFFICERS WITH KNIFE On July 10 shortly before midnight constables Peter Brunette and Paul Brewer of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend a residence in the 3700 block of Highway 11 North within North Bay.

On July 10 shortly before midnight constables Peter Brunette and Paul Brewer of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend a residence in the 3700 block of Highway 11 North within North Bay.

The call allegedly consisted of a man ransacking his apartment.

The officers arrived and announced themselves, and were met with a man holding a large knife and threatening to kill them.

This man then allegedly asked the officers to shoot him while he went towards them with the knife. The officers continued backing up towards the highway. The man continued to verbally threaten the lives of the officers.

While one of the officers distracted the man, the other officer tasered the man before any harm was done.

Gregory Michael PASK, 58, of Highway 11 North, is charged with having a dangerous weapon, uttering threats and two counts of assault with a weapon. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

17-YEAR-OLD CHARGED FOR B&E
On July 10 during the morning hours Cst. Vicky Thisdelle of the North Bay Police Service arrested a 17-year-old male in relation to two break and enters that occurred on July 9. These entries took place within residences in the 400 block of Lakeshore Drive.

The 17-year-old is charged with theft under $5,000 and two counts of break and enter and commit. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER
Overnight on July 8 someone broke into a home on Strathcona Drive and broke several windows. Nothing appears to have been stolen.
