STOLEN SNOWMACHINE AND TRAILER Overnight Feb. 27-28 thieves stole a snowmachine and a trailer from the parking lot of E W Norman public school on Lakeheights Road. The trailer is described as homemade, wood in construction and red in colour.

Overnight Feb. 27-28 thieves stole a snowmachine and a trailer from the parking lot of E W Norman public school on Lakeheights Road.

The trailer is described as homemade, wood in construction and red in colour. There was no registration plate on it.

The snowmachine is described as a 1993 Polaris Storm 750 CC black in colour with a flared windshield. The registration number is 712380.

Total value was over $3,000.

MAN ASSAULTED IN ARENA
On Feb. 25 a short time after 11 PM, a 19-year man was walking at Memorial Gardens when several other males approached him. One of these males punched the victim several times in the head causing two fractures to his jaw. He attended the North Bay hospital where he was later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. The investigating officer Cst. Vicky Thisdelle of this Service is continuing the investigation. Charges will be pending.

ANOTHER ATM SKIMMER
On Feb. 25 a bank customer noticed suspicious behaviour from a male at the ATM located at the Bank of Nova Scotia on Main Street W.

Cst. Joe Whitehead and Cst. Ross Lingley of the North Bay Police Service attended this location and seized a skimming machine within the façade of the ATM.

The plastic cover for the fluorescent light had a small pinhole within it. This cover was removed and the officers discovered a pinhole camera, with battery pack and an electronic receiver/transmitter inside.

The description of this suspicious male is male white, tall, in his forties. He spoke with a European accent and wore a long dark coat and a blue and grey toque.
