BREAK AND ENTER
In the early morning hours of Aug. 4 thieves forcibly entered Shirley’s Convenience on Airport Road and disabled the alarm. They then stole $15,000 worth of cigarettes, lottery tickets and miscellaneous items.

That same day, officers of the North Bay Police Service pursued a stolen white Dodge Caravan up Thibeault Hill at 6 AM. This van was previously stolen from the Buns Master on Clarence Street in the early morning hours on Aug. 4.

The van’s seats were found at the Eagle Nest Gas Bar on Highway 17 E. where another break and enter took place. This illegal entry is being investigated by the Anishnabek Police Service.

It is further believed that this pursued van was used in this break and enter.

The officers had to call off the pursuit due to dangerous driving conditions and concern for the public.

Police believe that these entries are related.

This white Dodge Caravan with Ont. licence plate #AJAR 907 is still outstanding.
