Driver involved in two separate accidents on Highway 11 north

The driver was arrested for impaired driving after the investigation revealed the same vehicle was involved in both incidents

The Temiskaming OPP arrested and charged one driver with impaired yesterday afternoon after two separate accidents on Highway 11 North involving the same person.

On November 27 at 1:30 p.m., OPP responded to a fail-to-remain collision, on Highway 11 in Temiskaming Shores.

Officers responding to that one came across a second one on Highway 11 approximately five kilometers south of the initial accident.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving after the investigation revealed the same vehicle was involved in both incidents.

Shelby Loach, 26, from Englehart is charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with a demand
  • Fail to remain at the scene of an accident

Loach was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on January 7, 2025.
