Complaint results in impaired driving charge

A traffic complaint has resulted in a driver being charged for impaired driving.

On July 12, shortly before 6 p.m., the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint involving a grey Ford pick-up truck on Highway 17.

Police located the subject vehicle and through investigation Brian Trenholme, 57, of Keswick, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive motor vehicle with an open container of liquor
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on August 27. He was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
