Threats to injure an intimate partner's pet led OPP to lay charges after an investigation in West Nipissing.
On December 20 at 1:45 p.m., Nipissing West OPP responded to an uttering threats complaint against an animal owned by the partner, at a residence on Demers Street, West Nipissing.

A 31-year-old-person, from West Nipissing, was arrested and charged with:
- Cruelty to animals causing unnecessary pain, suffering, or injury
- Uttering threats to damage or injure an animal
- Breach of Recognizance
The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in January 2025, in North Bay.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.
