The West Ferris 63's U19B ringette team won the gold medal this past weekend at the Winterfest Waterloo tournament.
Posting a perfect round robin by winning 3 straight games and outscoring their opponents a combined 9 to 0, West Ferris found themselves in an intense final verses a tough Paris team. However, West Ferris prevailed with a thrilling overtime win to claim the gold.
The team continues its season with a tournament in Niagara Falls at the end of February and then hosts their season end regional tournament here in North Bay in late March.
