U12 A East Nipissing Vipers win Bell Capital Cup

Vipers took home gold on New Year's Eve with a 6-0 win over the Kitchener Jr. Rangers.

The King Sportswear U12 A East Nipissing Vipers hockey team went undefeated throughout the Bell Capital Cup tournament and took home gold on New Year's Eve with a 6-0 win over the Kitchener Jr. Rangers. 

The Bell Capital Cup was hosted in Ottawa from December 2 to December 31.

This year’s tourney had 258 teams and over 4000 boys and girls from House and Rep U10 to U13, Junior Sledge and Adaptive Hockey teams playing 600 games in just 5 days, making it the largest Bell Capital Cup since 2017.

This is the second tournament The King Sportswear U12 A Vipers have won as they also captured gold at The Regional Silver Stick Championship in Sudbury Ontario on November 17th, 2024. The Vipers travel to Newmarket on January 17 to compete in the International Silver Stick Championship. 

The Vipers next play this weekend at The East-Ferris Community Centre on Saturday vs The U13 A North Bay Trappers at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday versus the Sudbury Jr. Wolves at 10 a.m.
