The North Bay Major Atom A Trappers claimed silver medals at the Winter Classic tournament that was held January 17th to the 19th in Kanata.
After their first loss against the Ottawa Golden Knights 3-2, the team continued winning their games to bring them to the semi-finals against Ottawa Sting where they claimed the win in a shoot out (after 5 minutes of 3 on 3 overtime).
The final game was a nail biter against the Leitrim Hawks resulting in another 5 minutes of overtime and shoot out which led them to silver medals.
