Poor conditions didn't slow down some North Bay area athletes from the Near North Board

Despite the heavy rain and wind, a group of North Bay area athletes still persisted during day two of the NOSSA Track and Field Championships taking place in Sudbury at Laurentian University.  

Here are the results from Near North District School Board athletes:  

Northern 

Brent Couchie 1st - midget boys javelin  
Nate Myre 2nd - senior boys Long Jump 

Widdifield 

Emily Mah 3rd - junior girls 100m run
Ethan Scott 2nd - midget boys 800m run
Keon Wallingford 1st - senior boys 3000m run
Xander Bagnell 3rd - midget boys 100m run
Janae Hardware 1st - midget girls 200m run

Chippewa 

Sonya Stencil 2nd - senior girls discus throw
Simon Gagne 2nd - midget boys high jump

West Ferris

Aaron Walker 3rd - junior boys 3000m run
