Malory Dominico had a career-high four goals to pace the Nipissing Lakers varsity women's hockey team to a 7-6 win over the Laurier Golden Hawks in Kitchener-Waterloo Saturday night.
Maggie McKee, Emma Thomas and Ashley Taciuk also scored in the high-scoring affair as the Lakers used three third period goals to steal the road victory.
The Lakers women are back in action Sunday afternoon as they take on the Waterloo Warriors.
Lakers men drop a pair
The Nipissing Lakers men's hockey team dropped their second game of the weekend, dropping a 7-1 decision to the McGill Redbirds on the road Saturday afternoon.
Harrison Caines had the lone goal for the Lakers in the contest.
On Friday, the Lakers men dropped their first game of the weekend, falling 8-2 to UQTR in Quebec Friday night. Charlie Johnson and Harrison Caines had the Lakers goals.
The Lakers men are back in action next weekend when they return home to host the TMU Bold for a pair of games at Memorial Gardens.
